The A,B,C of High Sensitivity

A simple, yet highly effective model to help you thrive with your Highly Sensitive trait...

Since discovering I share the Highly Sensitive trait with 15-20% of the population, I've been doing a lot of research. It's just what Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) do. We do endless research, read lots of books, & sign up to more online programs we can ever complete in one lifetime, because we think deeply about things & want to know everything there is about it. I've also been applying what I've learnt to myself - testing out the theories, doing the exercises & seeing what really works for me.

While flying back from a training retreat for Highly Sensitive People, a lightbulb went off in my mind. It occurred to me that the way I coached my clients & the way I now lived my own life, tended to centre around a few key areas. And these key areas very conveniently distilled down into the easy-to-understand format of an A, B, C. Hey presto, the 'A, B, C of High Sensitivity' was born!

I realised the A,B,C is a model that can help Highly Sensitive People thrive in any situation. You can use it for yourself, to help your Highly Sensitive Children, & even adapt it for your workplace. It's simple, easy to understand, yet goes deep enough to help you transform your thinking & experiences as an HSP.

The powerful tools that go with each section really help you get to the heart of issues. As one client commented, they were laser-focused & tailored specially to her as a Highly Sensitive woman, unlike the scatter-gun approach she'd previously been given in counselling sessions. Every exercise & tool I share in this model is chosen because it works for the HSP.

Just as left-handed people face common challenges in a predominantly right-handed world, HSPs face common challenges in a world where they make up a minority. The western world can be especially dismissive of those with a sensitive disposition, & it's up to us to recognise that with our sensitivity comes special strengths. The model is designed to help HSPs recognise these strengths. It gives them the blueprint to live in a way that allows them to share their gifts with the world & make the difference they're here to make.

The world is slowly waking up to the fact that 1 in 5 of us is wired differently. Diversity exists for a reason, & ultimately will ensure our survival as a species. Let's use this model of the 'A, B, C of High Sensitivity' to help us validate our Highly Sensitive Children, nurture our Highly Sensitive population & maximise the talents of Highly Sensitive employees in the workplace.

So what exactly is the A, B, C of High Sensitivity, you may be asking yourself?

In a nutshell, it's a model based around Accepting & Acknowledging our Highly Sensitive trait, setting gentle but firm Boundaries around how we live our lives, exploring the Limiting Beliefs that we've grown up with, & Connecting - into our feelings, to other HSPs around us & to something bigger than ourselves. The beauty of the model lies in its simplicity, yet while exploring each concept there's an incredible depth that helps transform your understanding of the highly sensitive nature.
